Huawei operator level router configuration example | EVdPdNd VPLS over SRv6 BE (CE dual access)

Networking requirements

As shown in Figure 1, CE2 and CE3 are connected to PE2 and PE3 at the same time. The traffic from CE1 to CE2 is required to be transmitted by load sharing, while the traffic from CE1 to CE3 is transmitted by non load sharing.

In order to realize the above requirements, the redundancy mode can be set based on ESI granularity, that is, the redundancy mode of CE2 access PE is configured as multi active mode, and the redundancy mode of CE3 access PE is configured as single active mode.

Figure 1 # configuration of EVPN VPLS over SRv6 BE (CE dual access) networking diagram

Configuration ideas

  1. Enable the IPv6 forwarding capability of each PE interface and configure the IPv6 address of each interface.
  2. Enable IS-IS on each PE, configure the Level level, and specify the network entity.
  3. Configure the EVPN instance of BD mode on the PE device
  4. Establish BGP EVPN peer relationship between PE devices.
  5. Configure SRv6 BE on PE equipment.
  6. Configure on the PE device to bind the corresponding BD to the access side sub interface.
  7. Configure redundancy mode based on ESI granularity on PE.
  8. Configure CE access PE.

Operation steps

1. Enable IPv6 forwarding capability of each interface and configure IPv6 address

Since the IPv4 address needs to be prepared for the EVPN source address, the Loopback interface also needs to configure the IPv4 address. Here, take PE1 as an example. The configuration process of other devices is the same. For details, please refer to the configuration file.
