Principle of Spring-boot Automatic Configuration

First, create the spring boot project in Spring Initializr mode and view the main configuration class of spring boot:

@SpringBootApplication
public class SpringBootAutoconfigurationYuanliApplication {

Click into the SpringBoot Application annotation

@SpringBootConfiguration
@EnableAutoConfiguration
public @interface SpringBootApplication {}

The @SpringBootConfiguration is tagged on a class to indicate that it is a Spring Boot configuration class. Click on the annotation to see the source code.

@Configuration
public @interface SpringBootConfiguration {
}

Discover its dependency annotation @Configuration
@ Configuration configuration annotates the annotation class as a configuration class.
Go back to @Enable AutoConfiguration and click on its source code

@AutoConfigurationPackage
@Import({AutoConfigurationImportSelector.class})
public @interface EnableAutoConfiguration {

There is @AutoConfiguration Package and an underlying annotation @Import. First discuss @AutoConfiguration Package and click to enter its source code.

@Import({Registrar.class})
public @interface AutoConfigurationPackage {
}

Similarly, @Import is used, and the parameter is Registrar.class. Click Registrar.class again to find the following method

public void registerBeanDefinitions(AnnotationMetadata metadata, BeanDefinitionRegistry registry) {
   AutoConfigurationPackages.register(registry, (new AutoConfigurationPackages.PackageImport(metadata)).getPackageName());
}

Run and analyze new AutoConfiguration Packages. PackageImport (metadata). getPackageName () in DeBug form
The result is to scan all components of the package where the main configuration class resides.

Back to @Import ({AutoConfiguration Import Selector. class})
Click into the source code of AutoConfiguration ImportSelector. class automatic configuration selector and find two ways:

public String[] selectImports(AnnotationMetadata annotationMetadata) {
        if (!this.isEnabled(annotationMetadata)) {
            return NO_IMPORTS;
        } else {
            AutoConfigurationMetadata autoConfigurationMetadata = AutoConfigurationMetadataLoader.loadMetadata(this.beanClassLoader);
            AutoConfigurationImportSelector.AutoConfigurationEntry autoConfigurationEntry = this.getAutoConfigurationEntry(autoConfigurationMetadata, annotationMetadata);
            return StringUtils.toStringArray(autoConfigurationEntry.getConfigurations());
        }
    }

    protected AutoConfigurationImportSelector.AutoConfigurationEntry getAutoConfigurationEntry(AutoConfigurationMetadata autoConfigurationMetadata, AnnotationMetadata annotationMetadata) {
        if (!this.isEnabled(annotationMetadata)) {
            return EMPTY_ENTRY;
        } else {
            AnnotationAttributes attributes = this.getAttributes(annotationMetadata);
            List<String> configurations = this.getCandidateConfigurations(annotationMetadata, attributes);
            configurations = this.removeDuplicates(configurations);
            Set<String> exclusions = this.getExclusions(annotationMetadata, attributes);
            this.checkExcludedClasses(configurations, exclusions);
            configurations.removeAll(exclusions);
            configurations = this.filter(configurations, autoConfigurationMetadata);
            this.fireAutoConfigurationImportEvents(configurations, exclusions);
            return new AutoConfigurationImportSelector.AutoConfigurationEntry(configurations, exclusions);
        }
    }

The first method is to import the annotation meta-information selector, which calls the getAutoConfiguration Entry () method in the class, that is, the second method. The information returned in the second method is mainly configurations and exclusions. Here we mainly analyze List < String > configurations = this. getCandidate Configurations (ann). OtationMetadata, attributes; click the getCandidate Configurations method:

protected List<String> getCandidateConfigurations(AnnotationMetadata metadata, AnnotationAttributes attributes) {
        List<String> configurations = SpringFactoriesLoader.loadFactoryNames(this.getSpringFactoriesLoaderFactoryClass(), this.getBeanClassLoader());
        Assert.notEmpty(configurations, "No auto configuration classes found in META-INF/spring.factories. If you are using a custom packaging, make sure that file is correct.");
        return configurations;
    }

Continue clicking the loadFactoryNames method:

public static List<String> loadFactoryNames(Class<?> factoryClass, @Nullable ClassLoader classLoader) {
        String factoryClassName = factoryClass.getName();
        return (List)loadSpringFactories(classLoader).getOrDefault(factoryClassName, Collections.emptyList());
    }

private static Map<String, List<String>> loadSpringFactories(@Nullable ClassLoader classLoader) {
    MultiValueMap<String, String> result = (MultiValueMap)cache.get(classLoader);
    if (result != null) {
        return result;
    } else {
        try {
            Enumeration<URL> urls = classLoader != null ? classLoader.getResources("META-INF/spring.factories") : ClassLoader.getSystemResources("META-INF/spring.factories");
            LinkedMultiValueMap result = new LinkedMultiValueMap();

            while(urls.hasMoreElements()) {
                URL url = (URL)urls.nextElement();
                UrlResource resource = new UrlResource(url);
                Properties properties = PropertiesLoaderUtils.loadProperties(resource);
                Iterator var6 = properties.entrySet().iterator();

                while(var6.hasNext()) {
                    Entry<?, ?> entry = (Entry)var6.next();
                    String factoryClassName = ((String)entry.getKey()).trim();
                    String[] var9 = StringUtils.commaDelimitedListToStringArray((String)entry.getValue());
                    int var10 = var9.length;

                    for(int var11 = 0; var11 < var10; ++var11) {
                        String factoryName = var9[var11];
                        result.add(factoryClassName, factoryName.trim());
                    }
                }
            }

            cache.put(classLoader, result);
            return result;
        } catch (IOException var13) {
            throw new IllegalArgumentException("Unable to load factories from location [META-INF/spring.factories]", var13);
        }
    }
}

The loadFactoryNames method returns the results of the loadSpringFactories method.
First, we get the url in the ClassLoader. getSystem Resources ("META-INF/spring.factories") file, which is to scan the contents of the META-INF/spring.factories file under the jar package classpath. Then, we look at which jar package file is scanned, and click this in getCandidate Configurations. SLoaderFactoryClass (),

 protected Class<?> getSpringFactoriesLoaderFactoryClass() {
        return EnableAutoConfiguration.class;
    }

EnableAutoConfiguration.class is allowed to automatically configure classes

Wrap the traversal results into properties objects.
Each of these xxxAutoConfiguration classes is a component of the container that is added to the container; they are used for automatic configuration.
Taking Http Encoding AutoConfiguration (Http Coding Automatic Configuration) as an example to explain the principle of automatic configuration

@Configuration //Represents that this is a configuration class. Like previous configuration files, components can also be added to containers.
@EnableConfigurationProperties({HttpProperties.class}) //Start the Configuration Properties function of the specified class;
//Bind the corresponding values in the application.properties configuration file written by yourself to the HttpEncoding Properties class; and add HttpEncoding Properties to the ioc container
@ConditionalOnWebApplication(type = Type.SERVLET)
@ConditionalOnClass({CharacterEncodingFilter.class})
@ConditionalOnProperty(
    prefix = "spring.http.encoding",
    value = {"enabled"},
    matchIfMissing = true
)
public class HttpEncodingAutoConfiguration {

Click HttpProperties.class to enter this class and find that the annotation @Configuration Properties (prefix = spring.http) in this class also indicates that this type of configuration is written in a prefix of spring.http, followed by attributes in this class.
