Transplanting uCOS based on HAL library STM32F103C8T8

1. Get uC/OS-III source code

1.1 Download Method

  1. Official (slower)
    http://micrium.com/downloadcenter/
  2. Baidu Netdisk (faster, recommended)
    Links: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1WJpJzT9ha2ua3pJzz4WtBg
    Extraction Code: 5jt8

1.2 File preparation

When the download is complete, open the folder and you can see four file directories:

New folder: uC-BSP, uC-CONFIG

2. Establishing stm32HAL Library Project

  1. Open STM32CubeMX and select ACCESS TO MCU SELECTOR;

  2. Select STM32F103C8 (depending on your configuration), click on the chip information in the middle, and then click Start Project to start the project.

  3. Configure SYS and select Serial Wire at Debug;

  4. Configure RCC and select Crystal/Ceramic Resonator at HSE;

  5. Configure GPIO, select PA9 and PA10 as USART1_TX and USART1_RX, and PC13 as GPIO_Output to light up LED lights;

  6. Configure serial port USART1 in Connectivity and check Asynchronous at Mode s;

  7. Configure the project, set the project name and path at Project Manager, and select the corresponding compiler version;

  8. Check Generate peripheral... at Code Generator to generate the.c/.h file, then click GENERATE CODE in the upper right corner to generate the code;

  9. Build complete, open the project directly;

3. Lighting up LED lights

3.1 Add Code

Add code to the while loop in the main function:

while (1)
 {
   /* USER CODE END WHILE */

   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */
   	HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, GPIO_PIN_SET);
   	HAL_Delay(500);
   	HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, GPIO_PIN_RESET);
   	HAL_Delay(500);
 }
 /* USER CODE END 3 */

3.2 Hardware Connection

LED lights are connected to PC13, pay attention to short foot grounding and GND connection, RX to PA9, TX to PA10, 3.3V power supply.
As follows:

3.3 Burning

Once compiled correctly, burn the code into STM32F103, set BOOT0 to zero, press the Reset button, you can see the PC13LED light flashing, proving that the code is OK.

IV. Preparation of Transplantation Documents

4.1 New Folder

Create new bsp.c and bsp.h files in the uC-BSP folder

4.2 Add files in folder uC-CONFIG

Copy related files from uCOS-III to the uC-CONFIG folder:

4.3 Copy uCOS related files to MDK-ARM

Copy uCOS related files from Software to the MDK-ARM folder of the HAL project:

Automatically generate extension files after copying:

5. Start transplantation

5.1 Add uCOS file to project

  1. Click Manage Project Items
  2. Create six new folders for the project, as follows:
  3. Add files to each new folder
    Select the folder, click Add Files..., select the following file, Add
  • CPU:

  • LIB:

  • PORT:
  • SOURCE:
  • CONFIG:
  • BSP:

Click OK to save and you can see the added files in the project menu:

5.2 Import File Path

Click on the Magic Wand to enter the project configuration:

At C/C++, select Include Paths;

Add file paths as follows:

5.3 Modify Code

  1. Modify startup_stm32f103xb.s code
    PendSV_will be located in the following two locations Handler and SysTick_Handler
    Change to OS_CPU_PendSVHandler and OS_CPU_SysTickHandler;

3. Modify app_cfg.h code

  • #define APP_CFG_SERIAL_EN DEF_ENABLED to:
#define  APP_CFG_SERIAL_EN                          DEF_DISABLED

  • #define APP_TRACE BSP_Ser_Printf changed to
#define  APP_TRACE(viod)

4. Modify include.h code

  • Add after #include <bsp.h>
#include "gpio.h"
#include "app_cfg.h"

  • Include <stm32f10x_ Change lib.h>to
#include  "stm32f1xx_hal.h"

5. Modify lib_cfg.h code
Change the macro definition: Set the size of heap space, STM32F103C8T6 has only 20K RAM, so make it smaller.
Modified here to 5u;

5.4 Add redirection function

Since the printf function is used, the following code needs to be added to the usart.c file to complete the printf redirection:

/* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */
typedef struct __FILE FILE;
int fputc(int ch,FILE *f){
	HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1,(uint8_t *)&ch,1,0xffff);
	return ch;
}
/* USER CODE END 1 */

5.5 Parameter Configuration

Click on the magic wand to enter Options, check Use MicroLIB in Target, and set the SIZE of IRAM1 to 0x8000;

Check Create HEX File in Output to generate the hex file;

Click OK to save and exit;

5.6 Compile Project

Click on the top left corner to compile the code correctly and generate the hex file.

6. Hardware Burning and Serial Receiving

LED light cycle blinks unchanged, serial port receives data:

7. Multi-Task Environment

7.1 Task Content

Three task s:
Two of them control the lighting and extinguishing of LED s in 1s and 3s cycles respectively.
Another task sends "hello uc/OS! Welcome to RTOS multi-task environment" via serial port in 2s cycle!

7.2 Code Modification

  1. Modifying void MX_in gpio.c GPIO_ Init function (add initialization PA3):
void MX_GPIO_Init(void)
{

  GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};

  /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */
  __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE();
  __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE();

  /*Configure GPIO pin Output Level */
  HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, GPIO_PIN_RESET);
	HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_RESET);

  /*Configure GPIO pin : PC13|PA3 */
  GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_13|GPIO_PIN_3;
  GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP;
  GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;
  GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;
  HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct);
	HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);

}
  1. Modify main.c

8. Summary

Generally speaking, the code migration process is smooth, but the program burning encountered the problem of burning failure caused by too slow burning speed. After increasing the baud rate, the burning succeeded, but the speed is still slower than previous experiments. It is speculated that the burning file may be caused by too large. Also, when writing a blog, the editing page and the preview page sometimes get out of sync or even can't be loaded, which is due to too much content such as picture gif or slow network speed.
